There are 1.2 million Syrian children living as refugees as a result of the 3 year conflict. About 5.5 million Syrian children need humanitarian assistance. During winter months, temperatures can plummet to freezing and many of the kids are unprepared. Last year, with the help and support of partners, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF shipped nearly 20,000 winter clothing kits to Lebanon and Iraq. As winter approaches again, the U.S. Fund for UNICEF will be sending 25,000 winter clothing kits. UNICEF needs some extra help at the warehouse in NJ tomorrow in preparation for the Syria Pack and Stack happening this weekend.
