There are 13 beaches stretching from Tel Aviv to Jaffa: Cliff Beach North extends up to the Herzliya border and is open all year round. Facilities include public toilets and changing rooms, drinking fountains, sports courts, a playground and two kiosks. Hot showers are also available. Cliff Beach South features an area for water sports where it’s safe to surf, kayak and windsurf. Visitors can rent deck chairs and loungers, and park for free by the two entrances. Mezizim Beach is a easygoing, family friendly beach which is accessible to the port, and offers a host of amenities. These include toilets, changing rooms, showers, a kiosk and volleyball and soccer courts. Nordau Beach is the only beach in Tel Aviv set aside for the religiously orthodox residents. During high season, the beach opens to women on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and to men on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, with all genders welcome on Saturdays. Amenities include dressing areas, toilets, a kiosk, sports facilities, playground and deck chair rental. Hilton Beach enjoys a central location close to town, and is one of the most popular and trendy in Tel Aviv with the southern side said to have the best surf in Israel. You can even enjoy late night surfing here, since night lighting has been installed on the beach. Amenities include a café restaurant, sports courts, and two areas designated for watersports. Gordon Beach is situated next to the marina, and is a great hit with the tourists staying nearby. Facilities include toilets and changing rooms, a café, sports courts with night lighting, plus an area set aside for watersports and a playground. Frishman Beach can be accessed via the Tel Aviv boardwalk, and is particularly popular with a young crowd. Public toilets, changing rooms, a kiosk and restaurant are among the facilities found here. Bugrashov Beach is located in the center of Tel Aviv’s boardwalk close to the main hotels, at the end of Busgrashov Street. The beach is instantly recognizable by the presence of a monument of the ship Altalena. Amenities include a café, playground and changing rooms. Jerusalem Beach is situated next to the Opera House, and features a wide stretch of sand which to the south offers a place to Kitesurf. There are shaded areas, a café, playground and lockers on offer, as well as the opportunity to rent loungers and deck chairs. Aviv Beach is located at the southern end of Tel Aviv’s seafront promenade, next to Carmelit bus station and Charles Clore Park, making it easily accessible via public transport. Charles Clore Beach (also Alma Beach) is situated at the Jaffa border, and being somewhat isolated is a peaceful place to spend an afternoon. Dogs can be walked to the south of the bathing area, and watersports are also an option. Givat Aliya Beach is the southernmost beach in Tel Aviv stretching right up to the Bat Yam border. This attractive beach features palm trees, as well as lawns, sports courts and an area for water sports.
