There are 13 living languages that originated in the British Isles, here they are along with the numbers of current speakers; English - 59 million Scots - 1.5 million Ullans (Ulster Scots) - 40,000 Gaeilge (Irish Gaelic) - 1.8 million Cymraeg (Welsh) - 750,000 Gàidhlig (Scottish Gaelic) - 92,000 Kernewek (Cornish) - 400 Gaelg (Manx Gaelic) - 1689 Jèrriais (from Jersey) - 2871 Guernésiais (from Guernsey) - 1327 Sercquiais (from Sark) - 30 Angloromani (type of Romani) - 90,000 Shelta (language of Irish travellers) - ~86,000 Do Britain First care? No. The British Isles were always diverse, there is no unified culture to protect! In fact lots of people in the UK are more concerned about protecting their culture and language from rampant Anglicisation. The fact that there are now also lots of immigrant languages and cultures present on these Islands too is to be welcomed!
