There are 66 Books in the Bible and nearly 1200 Chapters in those Books. God took exactly 2 chapters in the very first Book to get to the subject of ...Marriage. In mans 6,000 years of existence the Bible has recorded many of the covenants God has made with man. There was the Adamic Covenant and the Abrahamic Covenant. Theres the Mosaic Covenant and the Davidic Covenant. Lets not forget the New Covenant. But there has been one covenant that has stood the test of time. One covenant that hasnt changed or been replaced. Thats the Marriage Covenant. It has lasted through the law and into grace. It has survived for 6,000 years despite the enemies best efforts. Today, while under extreme attack on all sides, the Marriage Covenant still remains as Gods greatest witness on the earth today. Marriage still paints the picture of what a relationship with the Creator of the Universe is supposed to look like. It is earmarked by unconditional love and faith driven honor. It still produces the ONEness of relationship which is Gods reason behind all His creation. Genesis 2:24 Therefore shall man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they shall be one flesh. Nothing has changed in 6,000 years. Gods plan for marriage...the marriage covenant... remains the same. The Hebrew word for flesh in that scripture is Basar and it means Glad messenger of good tidings For this reason shall Ron leave ma and pa Geyer and be joined to Diane and the two shall become One glad messenger of good tidings For this reason shall Pastor Joel leave ma and pa Osteen and be joined to Victoria and the two shall become One glad messenger of good tidings. For this reason shall you...... Marriage...the most POWERFUL, ENDURING witness on Gods earth today...
