There are a lot of things that I dont care for about my city. Things that I will definitely not miss in six months when my time here comes to a close. But there is one thing that I will always love about this place, and thats how on quiet, clear evenings such as tonight I can walk outside, look up at the sky and see hundreds of gleaming stars shining their light down on me. These quiet, calming moments of interstellar connectivity are what make this feel like home, and what almost makes me not want to ever leave. When you spend a decade in a bigger city, with the night sky blocked by smog and starlight drowned out by skyscrapers and electric lights, you forget the simple, somewhat childlike pleasure of just being outdoors and staring at the wondrous void above, with all its mysteries reflecting all of your potential. Thats a feeling we should never lose grasp of; just as the cosmos is something we should never lose sight of. #thereismore #countdowntomynext
