There are abused and neglected children in Ellis County who need your help! You do not need a legal background or experience in social work to become a CASA volunteer, just a willingness to help children in need. Summer training will consist of six sessions from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the CASA office on June 17, June 19, June 26, July 1, July 3 and July 8. Some courtroom observation will also be required. Lunch will be provided for training sessions. Applications, background checks, reference checks and personal interviews must be competed before the first training session on June 17.
