There are actually a lot more of us down here than it appears. Ive had numerous individuals tell me how brave they think I am for being open about not being religious. Most of them also dont believe, but simply play the role in order to keep their family happy. 2 of them even have significant roles in local churches here. They defend the christian beliefs, act astonished when someone doesnt believe, and get paid to do so. However, in reality, they dont believe any more than I do. Ive had a few that have stated they plan to be open about their disbelief once their parents and/or grandparents pass away. How sad is that? Theyre so terrified of being no longer loved, that theyll pretend to be someone that is the complete opposite of who they really are. You dont have to be a militant atheist or an asshole atheist like David Dover, to not believe. It IS possible to not believe and just leave it at that. Hey, where do you go to church? I dont. Oh, well come to my church then, we have lots of activities! No, thanks. :) Well, if you change your mind, let me know! Alright. See how easy it is? :)
