There are approximately 50 du`as (supplications) reported between the tashahud and tasleem during salah. Not all of them are authentic , however the permission to recite whatever we want is given by the prophet himself so any du`a would do as long as its lawful. And The du`a famous in the Hanafi school - Allahumma inni dhalamtu (zalamtu) nafsi dhulman katheeran wala yaghfiru...... is proven in Bukhaari and Muslim via Abu bakr as-Siddique radhiallahu anhu .But its exact position / time/ period of recital is not affirmed. But one has the choice to recite it whenever he wants. Just because it is not a proven sunnah to recite it after having completed the tashahud doesnt mean you go all star wars on our hanafi brothers. So dear salafis, please stop acting like walnuts by not debating on such petty issues trying to prove everything that the tanafis do is wrong. its boring and awful . get a life. saw some brothers arguing over if the du`a Allahumma inni `aaudhubika min adhaabil qabr wa adhaabin naar .... is to be said or the former one .
