There are certain advantages to having your fantasy drafts BEFORE the preseason starts. It is true, there is always the injury risk if you draft too early but that risk doesnt go away either way. The main advantages to drafting early is you can get the most steals. Right now, certain players are sleeping their way through the rounds. As time goes by and they start to see the field in preseason, some of these guys are going to be getting more media attention which makes them less of a sleeper. I actually prefer drafting in July. No major injury has happened to me doing it this way. Ironically, Ive had a lot more injuries to my team after week 1. - Kyle
