There are children in a war-zone that are going to be able to - TopicsExpress

There are children in a war-zone that are going to be able to breathe a sigh of relief for at least several hours a day, five days a week. They will be able to walk about without fear of being shot, they will still have to worry about walking in a safe zone, dont stray off that path in the mornings and after school hours, but they will have those few hours of reprieve to hopefully learn something and just be kids, inside, relatively safe, locked down schools. Theyve had peacefull marches and rallies all summer for stop the violence, they are young and predominantly black, as young as 3 months old to senior citizens over 70 yrs old marching and being shot daily, 365 days a year so it seems in Chicago on the south or west side. No looting, no Black Panthers, Pastor Corey Brooks and his organization walking weekly, Jesse Jackson walked once I believe, Gov. Quinn, Gubernatorial Candidate Rauner, and others. The only constant unrest is the constant pop, pop, pop of illegal gun fire at any given time or moment of the day, at any location. So forgive me if I cant get my panties in a bunch about a shooting in Mo., and the fact that for the moment schools are closed due to civil unrest, forgive me if I refuse to choose a side in a tragedy for both persons involved and their families, because thats how I see it right now, with so many details missing and reports not completed. I have for 3 yrs now been writing about and giving my two cents for what its worth about those in gangland Chicago, and not all are gangsters. I have dealt with more rude comments in threads even on postings about babies being shot, just absolute cruel and uncaring comments from others that now want others to be sympathetic to their views. This reminds me of the Trayvon Martin Summer and I refuse to be pulled in and sucked in, not to say Im not interested in this shooting, but I have my own local state issues here. I dont even have children in CPS, nor do we live in those areas, so why should I care? I care because Chicago is my birthplace, I spent my early childhood in Englewood, I have family in the area, and I love children they will always be a big part of my advocacy as its part of being a pro-life in all matters. I have a video that I will be sharing soon, its a recording of 4 young ladies I met quite by accident a couple of weeks ago, they were staying out here in the suburbs to escape the violence, all four have had up close and personal experience with gun violence on the southside of Chicago. I think about them often still and I pray that they have a safe and happy school year. Look for the video in The Last Civil Right this week. FYI: Its an audio, I dont believe in putting minors on video for their own safety if anyone is concerned about that.
