There are currently 18 states that have abolished the death - TopicsExpress

There are currently 18 states that have abolished the death penalty citing it as cruel and unusual. There are more requirements in the protocol and administration of the euthanasia of animals than that of how capital punishment is carried out. No Doctor is required to assist in the administration as it it technically goes against their hypocratic oath. No one in fact, must have any medical background. The meds used paralyzes all muscles after a sedative is given but if the sedative used is unaffective it leaves the person fully aware, feeling everything but unable to speak. They simply suffocate slowly. Yes they may have done monstorous things but what do we gain as a people fighting fire with fire? Not to mention the many cases of individuals exonerated through evidence such as DNA AFTER they were executed. Im ashamed to know my state, Texas is still dealing executions out as the #1 state in America. It costs extreme amounts of money in trials and appeals and is just plain an arcahic form of so called justice that is fundamentally flawed and cruel. If there was a 1% chance a person due to die was innocent, that is too much. I could go on and on. Anyone and everyone who is with me against Capital Punishment, please speak out, NOW!!
