There are currently 3 Watch and Act messages for Ngarkat Ngarkat (Senior) Ngarkat (Shaugh) Ngarkat (Mount Rescue) BUSHFIRE WATCH AND ACT - Ngarkat (Mount Rescue) Message Issued: 17:47 16/01/2014 CFS advises that a bushfire at Mount Rescue Conservation Park in the Upper South East near Tamboore Station, Island Well Road, Caldocotts Road and Makin Road may threaten your safety. The NGARKAT fire is travelling in a Southerly direction towards Calidicotts Road, Calomba Downs and Kooleena Station. The uncontrolled fire is burning in Grass and conditions are continually changing. Check and follow your Bushfire Survival Plan and prepare for a bushfire in your area. If your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, leaving early is the safest option. Only leave if the path is clear to a safe place. You should not enter this area as the roads may not be safe. Well prepared and actively defended homes can offer safety. Stay tuned to this radio station on a battery-powered radio for updates.
