There are different stages of change! Here they are in my language! What are you? 1. Wishers - you want to get in shape but only talk about it. Your mad your pants are tight. You are I denial about how you got out of shape. 2. Bystanders - you gather info by reading magazines and books, and watching shows. You cheer on your friends. You want to start but with so much info, you dont know where to start. 3. Starters - you start and stop programs without consistency. You go back and forth through the first 3 stages. Excuses win out. 4. Doers - you are committed! You have a plan. You are consistent and persistent. Nothing is gonna stop you. Excuses lose! You are the person the Bystanders are wishing they were! 5. Lifers - you have accomplished your first goal but now you set another. your friends are asking you for advice. It is now a lifestyle!! Where are you? Where do you want to be? Everyone starts at #1. But how quickly you move into the other stages is up to you. All Doers need support and guidance. All Doers need a plan!!
