There are fans everywhere around the world. Fans of musicians, athletes, sports teams, celebrities, etc. Some fans are really fanatical. They know all about their favorite team or band. They have all the stats memorized. They know what their celebrity loves and hates. What they wear and who they hang out with. Some fans are so zealous that they hate or harm or kill anyone who does not idolize their idol. I am not a fan of God or Jesus. I am a follower of God and Jesus. Unlike a fan who may know all there is to know ABOUT their person or team; a follower KNOWS them intimately. A follower follows and has fellowship and an intimately relationship with whom they are following. Not just a head knowledge. So thank God! I am not His fan. I am more than that. A lot more. I am a follower. And infinitely better than that, He wants me to address Him as my heavenly Father and He calls me His son. How amazing is that? Dont be satisfied with being a fan of God. Surrender your life to Him. Obey Him and love Him so you can be His child!
