There are forces out there in the world who both want to selfishly benefit from the status quo, and they have come up with a toolbox of defenses to discredit those who seek to bring change. One of those arguments is that those who seek change are instinctively pursuing a selfish goal by doing so, which in many cases may be the truth, but it does not end there. Such pursuits of change may be arrogant, may be selfish, may be many things, but one thing one thing they are not is hiding from addressing the collective problem, and nothing could be worse than that.
