There are four Major Problems that we have to resolve if we are serious about addressing issues linked to education in Pakistan. Firstly There are an estimated 20-25 million children between 5 to 16 years who are not in school,we have under article 25a which has been Included in the constitution Through the 18th Amendment,Pledged that all children at this age will be provided free and compulsory education as their Basic Right. Secondly quality of Education,Various surveys have proved that In past years and Current Year Quality of Education is not marked upto its standard.which becomes a hurdle for a student in his professional life afterwards. Thirdly equity issues should be a major concern for us.inequality by most accounts ,is and has been increasing in Pakistan over the last three decades at least.Education should be at merit base,No political or liberalization policies should interfere in education. Fourth though we are spending only about 2pc of GDP on education and we need to spend at least 4pc to 5pc to get the results we want . We are clearly not dealing efficiently with the resources currently being spent on education . Teachers Principles are not getting salaries upto their work which is a distraction on their focus and motivation . These four issues are the basic reasons by which Pakistan has been left behind in education than other countries.
