There are four major streams through which the Life of Christ flows to us as His Followers. And, let’s be honest here, you can be a believer or you can be a follower, but they are not the same. ‘A Learner of the Lord’s, a Follower in His footsteps,’ is just another phrase for a disciple: one who walks in the Master’s Way, an apprentice in the practice of living all of life in and from the Kingdom of God. Those Four Streams consist of Walking with God in a conversational intimacy; Receiving His Counsel and Wisdom in every arena of Life; the Healing and Restoration which Jesus brings to the brokenhearted; and the Warfare which rages against this every step of the Way. And it does rage, my friends. Here’s a little something to help to guide us down the Path: Any movement toward greater freedom in the Son of God, any desire for a deeper Life in Jesus, will be opposed. Mark it down.
