There are many actors who started as rank mediocre, but had that spark, which made everyone think they would do something special in the future..and with time and experience, they actually did..their choices got better, their performances got edgier, the acting got real and they showed variety as well...Brad Pitt comes to mind, I mean no body would have thought that Brad was capable of coming up with such nuanced performances in films like The Tree Of Life and Inglorious Basterds...Hugh Jackman with Les Miserables and Prisoners is very much on the line..But one guy who has completely changed the game for himself is Matthew McConaughey..Starting with The Lincoln Lawyer, Killer Joe, then Mud, Magic Mike and finally Dallas Buyers Club and True Detective, he has been phenomenal since the past few years..I just hope he sustains this new found mojo of his, cos if he does manage to do that, we are in for some real bravura in the future !!
