There are many essential oil companies, some good, some not so good. Whatever company you use, as you learn more about essential oils and aromatherapy, ask a couple questions of the company, such as does the company utilize gas chromatography (GC) in their quality control process? Does the GC equipment utilize a column of at least 50 to 60 meters in length in order to properly identify the hundreds of natural constituents found in an essential oil? GC shows a pattern of the separated constituents of an oil and helps a trained technician determine its purity and therapeutic quality. Young Living has its own farms, its own technicians, consequently it can and does use GC to test the purity of each batch of oil, after the rigorous and intense distillation process! something to think about :)
