There are many reasons to vote against ANC but equally so, there multiple reasons to vote ANC I am one of those people who are critical about the ANC, amongst other pivotal issues I am uneasy about its their education policy, many have passed with 30%, just how will that help someone who will not have opportunity to further their studies, how will that enable a young person to start a business hence we encourage the youth to go into business to create opportunities for themselves, I am also not happy about the conduct of some leaders, corruption should not be tolarated, in dealing with this issue, the ANC government has introduced various programmes and strategies to curb and deal with corruption, that needs to be acknowledged and with same token, however so, the manner in which they implement this programmes leaves one with lot of questions. 20 years, many say its enough, enough to address over 20 years of injustices created by the former, I disagree, the ANC has made positive strides since they became government, and yes there are instances where they could have done a lot more, having said that, I believe theres more reasons for people to believe in the ANC, compared to other parties, ANC seem to be the only party that has a vision, and mission of how they aim to achieve their vision, one can make referrence to the New Growth Path Plan, the National Development Plan and their National Youth Policy which comes to an end this year. In judging the ANC government, there needs to be objective debates about what ANC has done, their shortcomings and thereafter their intentions going forward, a need to compare and discuss what other parties are proposing is critical leading up to the elections, personally although I am critical of the ANC, I am equally optimistic about what they can do given what they say they can do and how they intend to do it, since resuming power, the ANC has been challenged to change the lives of ordinary South Africans while dealing with internal and external forces which continue to impact their vision and mission, regardless, what encourages me most is they have managed to stay on and thrive. Many organisations could have failed had they come against such pitfalls. As it may be, I remain critical of the ANC and I equally believe in them as well because the mistakes and challenges that ANC face today are normal to any 20 year democracy, if you disagree with me, compare other former colonies nations such Kenya, Rwanda and our neighbour Zimbabwe whom entained their independence before us, compare their economic and social status to that of ours, its a different story to tell. Like when the President, Zuma normally sings yinde lendlela it is indeed long, we really need to understand the meaning behind the song, look at where we are and decide.
