There are many religions in the world. They include: Islam, Christianity, Baha’i, Buddhism, Hinduism, Paganism, Rastafari, Shinto, Sikhism, Zoroastrianism and African traditional religion etc. Some people do not belong to any religion; they are freethinkers, atheists and agnostics. Being part of a particular religion does not make one a bigot. You are a religious bigot if you are intolerant towards other people’s faith. I am a devoted Christian and I follow the teachings of Christ as laid down in the Bible. Mohammadu Buhari is a devoted Muslim and he follows the teachings of Prophet Mohammed as laid down in the Quran. I attend mass at least once in a week and I pray every day. Buhari goes to Mosque every Friday and prays five times a day. I am not a bigot because I am a Christian and Buhari is not a bigot because he is a Muslim. We both worship the same God: I chose to worship God in the framework of Christianity; he chose to worship God in the framework of Islam. There is this unique thing about Buhari that has kept me glued to him - his honesty and pro-masses ideology. Only few African leaders like Kwameh Nkrumah, Murtala Mohammed, Thomas Sankara, Patrice Lumumba, Nelson Mandela, Julius Nyerere, John Ata-Mills, Aminu Kano etc had these Characteristics. We need Buhari to correct the mess created by IBB and other previous governments including the present one. We need a strong man like Buhari to help us kick start a strong institution so that young people like Fashola, El-Rufia, Okorocha, and Donald Duke etc can rule without being overpowered by the Cabal holding us to ransom. I personally stand to gain nothing special if Buhari wins but Nigeria stands to gain everything if Buhari wins. Please let’s put aside tribe and religion and allow reason to prevail for once. Nigeria as a country is sinking under President Goodluck Jonathan.
