There are many things that I find amazingly wrong with our Federal Government, both when the Democrats and Republicans are in control. But a couple of things are simply criminal in my view and they are 1) Not being all in for our active duty military personnel, 2) caring for our veterans, and 3) not caring for our law enforcement, fire fighters, and EMT personnel. Those that live under the umbrella of daily safety for this Nation do so at the expense of military personnel. Military personnel serve the people of this Nation very well with pride and appreciate their work with civilians throughout the DOD, but know all too well that politicians are not to be trusted. Politicians, unlike military personnel and the patriotic DOD civilian employees, care first about their own personal life and what they can get out it. It matters little to the majority of politicians, especially in 2014, what happens to the military (rather they are on active duty, National Guard, Reserve, or veterans) so long as it benefits them personally. The politician ask of young men and women to perform some of the most stressful and dangerous work on the planet and in return the politician says here are some medals, some parchments, some certificates, and perhaps a National ceremony provided it gets the politicians face and name before the public in order to appear to be grateful. But are they really grateful, when it comes time to ensure those that have performed those dangerous jobs, given the sacrifice to the politician and the people of the Nation, and even died carrying out the duty (job) do they truly put forth laws that recognize the sacrifices and provide for those that suffer individually? When the politician needs to obtain funding sources for some pet project need where do they turn to in order to obtain funds - why they cut funding to the military. Todays politician has not likely served in the military, that is beneath them for they consider themselves to be above having to perform personal sacrifices that the military requires. No they love the money that their parents either gave them or they have gotten through political back rubbing that leads to the lining of their bank account. Having served in the Army for 24 years, being a Vietnam vet, and being proud of the Nation known as the United States of America it saddens me to see that with the many changes that have taken place in the DOD that one thing has not changed - THAT POLITICIANS CARE LESS AND LESS EACH DAY ABOUT THE NATIONS PROTECTORS! I served under many a POTUS and of these Jimmy Carter was the worse until this guy Obama showed up. Obama has taken the mistreatment and an uncaring viewpoint of the military and veterans to a whole new level. I didnt go through 24 years of military service and not talk to other military personnel about their political viewpoints, oh hell no we talked among ourselves. We knew the better political guys from the bad ones. We knew who had our backs when the politician issued decrees, signed laws, and directed changes via Executive Orders. The Obama administration has taken all sorts of negative actions when it comes to the active military and veterans. I believe with all my heart and soul that Obama and his staff intentionally take actions or inactions in order to harm the military and to hurt the veterans of this Nation. There are plenty of examples to put forth for my viewpoint and to sum them all up is very easy with one glaring way - Obama has done not one thing to improve the conditions of our military or veterans. He forsakes our military if they are imprisoned in other countries when a weapon is involved, you make think there is only one Marine in Mexico, but there are other cases where our military are being held, he has not moved the VA scandal along and instead has dragged his feet as the needed appointments and treatment are still backlogged, along with backlogs for claims, he has removed over 140 general and flag officers and NCOs for no real valid reason other than political ones, he is advocating bringing in illegals into our military in order to do his best to have these people swear allegiance to him rather than the Nation, he has advocated active duty personnel pay for their own health insurance because they are volunteers, and other actions. You have the right to disagree with me, but you must present facts to support your viewpoint. This Nation is in need of some serious correction to the direction it is going in and electing Democrats will not result in making these needed corrections.
