There are many who are new to this page in the last few months. (Thank you, by the way!) Some of you knew Jillian from the beginning, either personally or got to know her through this page. Many do not. Tomorrow, I wake up to 999 days since I last hugged my daughter. With Robin Williams death so largely in the news, it has torn open a scab of grieving for many bereaved families...especially those whose loved ones died by suicide. My heart goes out to each of you who are re-living that loss, not just this week, but each morning. Be gentle with yourselves, and know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Tomorrow night, I will post one of the chapters from the book I am working on about grief/loss/coping and hope. It is called 1000 days. If you are experiencing grief-quakes this week, you may want to read it at another time...just a heads up, okay? I dont want to cause more pain. When I am distressed, I write. It is cathartic for me. This chapter is about Jillys last day, and the day she went Home. I will paint a story with my words. It is LONG. (10 pages on paper!) It is intense. It is written with a deep and abiding love. It is a love letter to my JillyBean.
