There are more unlikely road racing candidates out there but none come quickly to mind. Used with some frequency as the basis for drag racers or top speed attempts - likely due to the incongruity of such a small car paired with very large engines - the Metropolitan actually acquits itself well in vintage racing. With good handling and power available through managing its original mill, the little Nash has devoted fans (and deservedly so) that are very much fellow brethren in the LBC community.
