There are no permanent enemies in politics. It has always been permanent interests. But what is the INTEREST thatll supposedly bind Matagbamole together with Labour Party in Ogun State? Ive been scratching my head for two weeks now. Could it be, 1. Removal of SIA from office? 2. Progressive politics? 3. Pragmatic positioning? If it is 1, I dont have problems with it. It is part of the game. But 2 also can fly as OGD was Osobas boy at some point in the defunct Alliance for Democracy (AD). Number 3 is also allowed. Without LP members in the Ogun State House of Assembly, the opposition against SIA will be weak. A combination of Matagbamole and LP in Ogun East should give them at least 60% of the votes there. It will also ensure OGD gets into the Senate very easily. About the ONLY credible voices that can criticise OGD belong to Matagbamole in Ogun East. In Ogun Central, if Aare Remilekun Bakare agree that Prince Yanju Lipede from Ake should get the gubernatorial ticket, the senate should not be a big deal for Arole Osoba. Most Ake will likely vote Lipede, who many believe did well as Council chairman. But the Owus will definitely kick and support their son, SIA. Oke Onall be divided because the Tejuosos are divided into pro and anti-SIA factions. Ogun West may get PDP ticket as Prince Buruji Kashamu appears bent on kicking former House of Representatives Speaker, Hon. Dimeji Bankole in the butts. Should this happen, most PDP members may back whoever the LP/Matagbamole alliance produces given the calibre of politicians in it - the average party member wants a politician to be given ticket. Why? Ask them o! If the above scenario happens, Ogun State 2015 might be a straight fight between a combined team of Chief Olusegun Osoba/Otunba Gbenga Daniel against Senator Ibikunle Amosun. PDPs most likely candidate fromOgun West, Hon. Biodun Akinlade, could end up a distant third. But all these na my Political PlayStation o!
