There are numerous reasons to feel disappointed about the 2014 election results. I admit Im most disappointed at the loss of Amy Lewis Faircloth for probate judge. Amy is respected, yes by her fellow lawyers, but also deeply respected by all the average citizens who have dealt with her over the years. Indeed often clients on the other side of a case grow to respect her thoughtfulness and caring. It is apparent that she lost, by a very small margin, because of an unfortunate national wave. Indeed, in the context of that wave, Amys results are remarkably strong and impressive, just as she remains one of the best people I have ever known in my entire life. She would make, and will make, a great judge.
