There are, of course, plenty of people calling him on killing a test pilot. Now, lets get this straight: The test pilots do it for money and the thrill. There is no single test pilot not aware of the risks involved. The whole point of a test pilot is to fly equipment that is so experimental it cant be given to normal pilots. And to push the limits of what humankind can achieve safely, someone needs to do it dangerously first. Safety is the result of prototyping and testing to get the technology mature.
