There are only 15 mountain bongos surviving in Kenyas Eburu Forest so I set out today with our Eburu tree-planting partners and the top tracker to try to get a look at one of the worlds most private and elusive animals in a dense and steep mountain forest. Our reward - one glimpse 1/2 mile away on the side of Mt. Eburru. And it was well worth the effort. (Check captions below - the one great Bongo shot is not todays - thats Mt.
