There are people today who think that Jesus was just a prophet or a good man; however, they dont believe He is the Only Begotten Son of God. Many people dont believe that Jesus is the Only Way to Heaven. People of some religions become angry just at the mention of the name of Jesus. Why? Its simple. Satan will do anything he can to distract you from believing in Jesus, the Savior of the world. Its acceptable to speak of God or church or religion. Satan does not even mind Christians being busy doing good things. We can attend church regularly, give to charities, help the poor, and go to meetings or concerts. All these things are good; but, they will not bring one person to the salvation of Jesus Christ if the person doesnt know who He is. Jesus is God in the flesh - He is the King of kings and Lord of lords - He came to save the world - Jesus is the Son of God. What we believe in our heart is the difference between spending eternity in heaven or hell. Luke 23 gives us a perfect example showing the importance of what we believe about Jesus. There were two criminals led out with Jesus to be crucified. One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at Jesus: Arent you the Messiah? Save yourself and us! But the other criminal rebuked him. Dont you fear God, he said, since you are under the same sentence? We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong. Then he said, Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom. Jesus answered him, Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise. Luke 23:39-43. One criminal went to heaven and one went to hell. Who do you say is Jesus Christ? As believers in Christ, let us remember that our time on earth is short. May we be used by God to tell the world that Jesus will save them if they believe in Him for everlasting life. There is no other way to heaven, but through Jesus.
