There are plenty of seats available at the Schofield Barracks Area X training site. Please ensure that you discuss with your leadership opportune times to schedule your training and allow enough time for them to plan around your training. If you are the leadership please remember that AR 385-10 has changed the training requirements for motorcycle safety with the idea that it is a perishable skill. This Army Progressive MC Program is designed to consistently keep motorcycle operator training current and sustain or enrich rider skills. The program consists of the following courses: Basic Riders Course (BRC), Experienced Riders Course (ERC) also known as Basic Rider Course II (BRC–II), The Military Sportbike Riders Course (MSRC), and Motorcycle Refresher Training (MRT). BRC is required prior to operating any motorcycle. 3 Days of training. ERC/BRC-II is required for riders owning a cruiser type motorcycle to be completed within 12 months of completing the BRC. 1 day of training. Renewed every 5 Years. MSRC is required for riders owning a Sportbike type motorcycle to be completed within 12 months of completing the BRC. 1 day of training. Renewed every 5 Years. MRT is required for any (MC-licensed and endorsed) Soldier owning a MC returning from a deployment greater than 180 days. To enroll the Soldiers have to go to https://imc.army.mil/airs/default.aspx use the drop down menu for Region Pacific then the Garrison Hawaii and all of the classes show on the calendar below for Schofield Barracks. When you click the course title in the calendar it tells you on the right side how many are registered. If it is available you click on the Area X Schofield Barracks hyperlink and fill out the online registration form. A couple of days after that you will receive and email from [email protected] with Course Registration Approval. For any questions or concerns please contact your company motorcycle mentor or the PRMC mentor SFC Couch at [email protected]
