There are priests and then there are really great priests... And Fr. Salvatore Putzu is one of them! Fr. Sal is a true Salesian and follower of God through the example of St. John Bosco. He is one of a kind priest. His brilliance, character, love for the Word of God & other people, and passion for catechesis & evangelization is beyond compare, yet remained so humble and down to earth. His life is totally dedicated to God and the mission that was entrusted to him. Everyone close to him know that and how dedicated he is in spreading Gods Word and love, wherever God brings him, from his small village Sardenia in Italy to Lebanon to Iran back to Turin Italy then to Ireland and to the Philippines. Pope Francis said in his homily (en.radiovaticana.va/news/2014/10/12/pope_francis_mass_of_thanksgiving_for_new_canadian_saints/1108412) that Missionaries are those who, have the courage to live the Gospel. Truly, Fr. Sal is the epitome of that. We at Word Media Ministry are blessed indeed to have him as our pastor and friend. May God continue to give him strength, wisdom and inspiration to lead us all for many, many more years to come. Happy 76th birthday to you Fr.
