There are probably numerous times when Ive been grateful for a merciful God. When Ive looked at my life and thought, There is definitely a Plan for my life because theres no way this should have turned out as Good as it did. I could list so many things that I dont need to go into detail here but would range from car accidents to hospitalizations. From watching my future wife have a heat stroke in front of me to giving the Heimlich to my child. Twice....this could go on and on. Last night could have ended in a way that could have altered two families horribly forever. Instead, for those two families, it ended with little more than a lesson to the fragility of life. The value of a hug from a loved one. The importance of a good ending to a conversation. Truthfully there are greater things at play in the universe than my own little world. But not to me. My son. You and this family are my universe. I love you. I am grateful for everything I am because you were Created. All the things I may have never been if not for the Grace of your existence. You wonder why I push so hard to mold you into the man you are becoming? Because God made it my job. You will, no doubt, wonder-as I have-when you look back on your life, and say multiple times, Theres no way. Why was I Saved? How in Gods name?... Gods name, indeed.
