There are several recordings and personal accounts of how Sunni are treated in Iran: I would like to mention that in Iran many families like my own are mixed religions. Some of us live between Sunni and Shia regions. We have no problems at all. We respect each others religious beliefs, but others sadly who do not even live in Iran are spreading horrible lies and saying differently. One thing Iran does not stand for are terrorist groups of all religious sects like MKO ( broke off of shiite Islam, a terrorist cult like group supported by USA as of now, responsible for killing hundreds of Americans and Iranians), Taliban ( spun off of Sunni Islam that has also been responsible for attacks on Iran who first got their support by western nations, many people still do not know Osama was a CIA asset), ISIS ( an off shoot sunni group who earned their support as FSA to fight against Assad with help from the USA, Israel and other western nations), Al Qaeda (off shoot of sunni islam). None of these groups represent true Sunni or Shiite beliefs by the way. Iran has spoke out against these groups for their distorted beliefs and attacks on innocent people. Not only are they responsible for terrorizing people of different faiths in their own lands, but also for several terror attacks on Iran. Through all this Iran is still a strong supporter of unity among Sunni and Shia but does denounce the above terror groups.
