There are several videos of St Maarten, Princess Julianna airport take offs and landings. Jet landings and takeoffs are a really cool sight. View it from a safe distance. Why people put themselves on the business end of a jet blast is beyond me. This woman made a choice to do so and got hurt. There is a reason why it says Danger, Jet Blast on the guardrail, but people continue to do this. The debris, sand, fumes, and force it creates is unimaginable. My friend Bill Nicewander and I have worked for the airlines in the past and he knows as well that getting anywhere near the ass end of the aircraft is sheer stupidity (even when it is taxiing). Enjoy the awesomeness of these birds, but do not ever, ever, ever get behind one. It may be the last thing in your life that you do.
