There are simply some choices we make, some actions we take that irrevocably change our lives. Sometimes we know when we take them. Most often we really do not. Often the choice or action does not seem, at the time, to be as powerful as it turns out to be. Often we attribute the change in the direction of our lives to something which appears to be more connected. It is only after we may have traveled this new path a very long time that the Light finally shines on the “turning Point”. Or perhaps it is that we can allow ourselves to finally see the turning point. While I often “know” at some deep level that a choice or decision is somehow “important”, I have never known it would change the course of my Life. Perhaps that is just a well. I feel that this year coming up, 2014, is an “important”year; that the choice we make, the decisions we act on, will impact us all in many ways for many years to come. I feel that t his year is as important, or more important, than the advent of 2012. I wonder if the opportunities presented this year, as 9/11901 did, will be such that they lay out an altered course of our lives for many years to come. And, so what? What to do? Personally, I will practice more diligently making as many decisions or choices as I can from the heart of compassion; from my Soul-Self, which mans I will take everything into contemplation before I decide. I will practice staying integrated more and more, even in the “little things that don’t count” - because I believe that “everything counts”, especially this year. I will diligently practice being Conscious of what I think and what I say, and the language I use to express myself. Because I really never now exactly what choices will change the course of my life irrevocably!
