There are some online claiming that people are over reacting about the riots last night, because in *their* town, this kind of violence supposedly occurs on a daily basis and is somehow worse. To that I must say that suffering is suffering. It is horrible no matter who it happens to or where. I dont understand where this pain contest came from. I feel bad for the people who couldnt leave their homes because of thousands of drunk people lighting fires in the streets outside their door. Or the people who couldnt get home because the buses had to be shut down for safety, and may not have been able to afford uber or a cab. Or, heavens forbid, the cops who had to work overtime to make sure MORE people were not shot or stabbed or ransacked. They have lives too. Yes, a lot of rich people live there and perhaps people are just taking a jab at them, but poor people live there and had to deal with it too. It sucked for everyone! To say it was no big deal is just making you look like an asshole. Anyways, have a good day.
