African-American Churches of Queens, 1799-1866 in Queens The Queens Historical Society presents a slide-illustrated talk on the history and development of African-American churches in Queens, many of which were sites of resistance and liberation. Youth will learn traditional techniques of paper cutting and calligraphy with hands-on art activities.
