There are still remnants in place from when the old Pennsylvania - TopicsExpress

There are still remnants in place from when the old Pennsylvania Railroad ran the 103 miles between Marietta and Dover, Ohio. The line began in the 1870s and was known as the Marietta Pittsburgh Railway. The last train passed through in 1976, and immediately following, the entire line was abandoned by Conrail. This girder bridge can be found outside Caldwell between State Route 821 and Interstate 77 at Belle Valley. Im thrilled that the land owners didnt have it cut up and hauled away for its scrap value.
