There are talented artists in Anacostia. Check out my friend and artist, Amber Robles Gordon, as she expresses her talent in colors and brings passion to our community. Join our artist neighbor Amber Robles Gordon for her open studio, Saturday, August 10, 2013 from 2-6 pm, 2321 Good Hope Court, WDC 20020. Her artistic muse, Alma Thomas (Expressionist painter, 1891–1978) inspired her current exploration of primary colors, the use of white space and geometric forms. Amber’s balancing the creation of large-scale mixed-media sculptures and a steady stream of smaller 2-D works.
