There are third class films and there are third class films and then there are movies like Lootera. Minus the powerhouse performance of Sonakshi Sinha , this lady is here to stay , there is nothing in this movie.She has delivered, unassumingly ,a lesson on controlled energy acting to over the top over rated female superstars like kareena kapoor. I sometimes don’t understand the critics who are falling over each other to praise this completely drab , boring almost zero content movie. I was also thinking had Karan Johar adapted O Henry’s story into a movie how many of these critics would have let go of this opportunity to tear the man apart , let me also add but for kabhi alvida na kehna I have found all Karan Johar directed movies supreme third grade. Almost all critics praised the camera work of Lootera . Bull shit. Post interval the whole move is 70% dark screen you will have to strain your eyes to find out who is sitting where , are we watching the bathroom or the kitchen or the bedroom you wouldn’t know. Arif Zakaria and Divya Dutta are fast going the Lalita Pawar and AK Hangal way ..soon they will have a collection of good for nothing five minute roles . At least they can apply for the Guiness Book of world record one day. Should Lootera bomb at the box office which it completely deserves to , am sure these high-brows will blame it on the sensistivity of the movie goers – completely forgetting the success of different attempts like kahaani and talash. Play with your dog, spend time with your kids , go out for a lunch with friends or count the number of buses that have passed by the main road near your home . But don’t go for lootera . I did .
