There are times in our lives when everything seems to go wrong and our emotions take over. Life looks dark and discouraging and we begin to feel sorry for ourselves. Sinking in the dark, it becomes easier to let our guard down and be tempted to give up. Instead of yielding, tear up Satans invitation and run to Jesus! It is when we feel the weakest that we need to lean on God the most. He wants us to walk by faith, not by sight! Pray and ask God for the gift of self-control. It will keep you from acting foolishly. Instead of yielding to temptation, pray for strength to overcome those dark emotions. Claim Gods promise in Phil 4:13, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. It is not possible to escape Satans emotional trap all by ourselves. We must allow Christ to dwell within us and lean on Him for strength, guidance and direction. He will take away the darkness . . . and give you light!
