There are too many. There are too many #Black folks that say we need to do better, but they share fight videos featuring us. There are too many #preachers and #pastors whove been silent on #Ferguson, #Blacklivesmatter and all related topics. There are too many #white women married to black men, with black sons who havent said a peep about the current racial climate in this country. Your man and son aint exempt girl. There are too many #gayrights activists who were/are passionate about equality for the GLBTQ community, yet fail to see the connection between their fight and the #blacklifematters fight. Our struggle is shared....I wish youd see that. There are too many #Africans and #Latinos whove not joined in the conversation about excessive police force. Surely you know that Ikechukwu and Jose are not immune. There are too many #Muslims, who have the most direct knowledge of racial profiling, that havent even batted an eye at the grotesque treatment of people of color by police. There are too many people that pretend that every #officer in a uniform has a sincere desire to protect and serve. Not the case. There are too many people reading this and trying to find a flaw in my logic instead of looking in the mirror and saying, Yea shes talking about me. But today I choose to be better. ©Roni Dean-Burren
