There are two small islands just south of Havre de Grace, MD. that had 50 boats anchored or beached enjoying the day. H de G sits at the mouth of the Susquehanna River that supplies 50% of fresh water to the bay. The town was visited several times by the Marquis de Lafayette who commented that it reminded him of Le Havre, so the residents incorporated it as H de G, (Haven of Grace), in in 1785. H de G missed becoming the capitol by one vote cast by the Speaker of the House. More than 80 Amtrak trains a day pass over the Susquehanna a day NY to DC. I-95 also crosses over the Susquehanna. I was enjoying some Indian Music while cruising back down the river Road the bay.
