There are two types of heroes in every major disaster (mostly natural disasters like the recent flood) in Malaysia. The unsung heroes are the Sultan of Kelantan, medical staff, armed forces and volunteers who worked tirelessly and sacrificed everything for those affected. Those who donated indiscreetly are also our unsing heroes. For most of us, we dont even know their names. . . The second category is the unashamed heroes (read: brainless politicians and politician wannabes) who hog the limelight, caused more problems and confusion, and demand media coverage for their impactless actions (but they can be good actors!!!). And these people want us to always remember their names. Isnt it ironic. . . My appreciation to our unsung heroes especially those who got sick (a number of the volunteers) and injured (our brave pilots). May your deeds be rewarded by God. May God bless Malaysia. . .
