There comes a time in everyone’s life when the years ahead are outnumbered by the years in the past and such is the time for Ashton. Even though he’s a senior who has not lived a lush life by any means, Ashton appears to be in relatively good health. OK, he has a little arthritis, but his teeth are clean, his heart is strong, his lungs are clear - hey, he’s in remarkable shape. Ashton was found as a dirty stray who was infested with abundant ticks. It’s quite miraculous that he didn’t suffer any permanent damage for his time on the streets. He has a little hematoma on his ear but that may clear up on its own. He’s a medium-sized guy who would fare nicely in an apartment. Ashton is literally dying for want of a loving home tonight - really. Please don’t let Ashton die alone in a cold shelter back room tomorrow because he’s not ready to leave us just yet.
