There has been a recent buzz on the following topic, so thought Id post an article about to get all of you to join in on the action or just make you ponder about the two opposing sides... So what exactly is the topic of debate.. well, no other than or beloved squats of course... and the 2 contenders on opposing sides are knees in VS knees out squats! So, the terms knees in and knees out might be a tad misleading if we think about them to literally, knees in can easily be misinterpreted as buckle your knees together and point your toes out, and at the same time knees out can imply turn your feet out as far as they can go and push your hips in to a maximum degree of external rotation, but in actual fact that is NOT at all what is implied by these 2 terms - and thank goodness for that, cause gosh, both those options sound a tad dangerous and quite uncomfortable!! But I urge you to check out this article and see for yourself what exactly they mean by knee-in squats and knees-out squats, what the debate is all about, and what the recommended and preferred position is according to the article. We all know squats is an amazing and effective exercise when incorporating lower body bodyweight exercises into your training, and at the same time the execution, variations, and progression possibilities are endless when it comes to squats - so whats the harm in having a look at the new tricks of the trade when it comes to this beloved exercise!!
