There have been a few comments and requests in regards to training NSW and Sydney specifically. You see, there are new regulations that suggest that you require a license to repair a vehicle in NSW (paintless dent removal) and then another license for operating a body repair shop of your own or you can operate under someone elses! I have applied to have our PDR training to be certified so that the license can be obtained immediately from our course. I applied 7 weeks ago and still no word yet - they suggest I will receive a notification once completed - not date ever is provided! I will keep you all informed. Of course you can get training regardless but there are two ways of getting a license - 1. from a certified course OR 2 by demonstrating you have worked with someone for 2 years in the PDR industry. These new laws really demonstrate a lack of understanding about this industry but I cannot question anything until such time as I get verification from them. Will keep you posted! These regulations are only for NSW and of course nothing stops you from working in other states as they have no known regulations and licensing requirements except ACT I think.
