There have been a lot of negative stories about police officers lately, so its refreshing to finally hear something good about the men and women who protect and serve. And there are two cops in Florida who recently showed just what the holiday spirit is all about. Officers Barry Ward and Terrence Paramore responded to a 911 hangup at the home of a single mother and her two young children. It turns out the two-year-old was simply playing with the phone and dialed the emergency number. So once that was cleared up, the officers noticed that there were no signs of Christmas in their home. Not a tree or any decorations at all. Officer Paramore says, It was pretty obvious that the family was struggling, and the older child told them they couldnt afford to have Christmas this year. So the officers decided to do something about it. They drove over to Home Depot, and with their own money, spent $100 on a tree, lights and decorations and then brought it over to the familys home. They knew as soon as they walked through the door that it was worth every penny. The kids greeted them with hugs and smiles and even hugged the tree. They captured the adorable scene on video and posted it to YouTube. A spokesperson for the Boynton Beach Police Department says, We’re appreciative that people are talking about this because they need to see and need to be reminded that cops are the good guys. https://youtube/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=s1QL19SGaGU
