There have been very few times in my life wherein as I have been - TopicsExpress

There have been very few times in my life wherein as I have been at a loss for words. What I can say is that mental illness is real. Mental illness is real and it is nondiscriminatory. For whatever reason, in the AA communities there is a tendency to pass off mental illness as spiritual warfare and or demonic inhabitation. The body ails and we visit the doctor. The mind ails and we pray. For as much as I wish I did not have two cents to offer on this matter, I am living the nightmare. Education, awareness, acceptance, advocacy, and training is much needed in our community as it pertains to mental illness. A part of me is very ashamed of my current situation but the bigger part of me is determined to make a difference. Visit our page to learn more about mental illness awareness and advocacy at facebook/momlife.org Praying for all who are affected and hopeful for change in our laws, change in our perception of those afflicted, and change in the manner in which we decide to generate healthy conversations among ourselves about mental wellness.
