There is Dark matter but it shanges color in the SunShine. What is it that causes stars to form? Is there an underlying pattern to stellar formation...a fundamental force of creation that causes the vast universal distance to start the collapse of matter. As it collapses it starts to spin due to intrinsic properties of the space time field. Quantum mechanical effects adding up as the electromagnetic forces become greater. Then the pressure allows for the resonances to start at the higher levels of energy. The neutrinos streaming past reacting to the harmonics and imparting a brief moment of energy and a sense of time. The E x M field conserves the invariant state of spin, but the color remains variable. As the density of energy increases proportional to the nuclear reaction a curios thing starts to happen. But why and which way is time going as the field starts to spin?
